For Air Dolomiti-operated segments. Independent planning guidance, not a booking confirmation or government-entry checklist.
Pets
Cabin: one carrier per passenger; two carriers per flight. Soft carrier maximum: 55 × 40 × 23 cm, waterproof and bite-resistant, with standing/lying room; keep it closed beneath the seat. Hold: two animals per flight; carrier maximum 100 × 65 × 70 cm. Telephone reservations are required. Bring two signed cabin-form copies. Check the directory for weight, notice and route/breed exclusions.
Shared-carrier numbers and species mixing are not established here; obtain explicit approval. Review the complete kennel checklist before purchase.
Assistance dogs
Task-trained assistance dogs travel free after document validation. The airline requires a training certificate; it names no accrediting organization or route-specific individually trained alternative. Request at least 48 hours ahead through Customer Service, or your booking agency. Airport check-in: at least two hours ahead.
Dogs must remain controlled, leashed on the floor in front of you; no passenger seat or exit row. Have a muzzle available. Poor behavior can mean refusal or paid hold transport. Oversized dogs may be refused.
ESA status does not qualify for free assistance carriage; ordinary-pet eligibility applies. Numeric assistance-dog quotas are unspecified. Confirm issuer, individually trained eligibility and capacity for each route.
Both linked cabin-form versions include assistance dogs; the pet page links June 2026, assistance January 2025. Confirm the required version; bring two signed copies.

Before paying
Prepare dates, flight numbers, the operating carrier for every segment, animal category, breed, age, carrier measurements and combined weight. Ask for written animal acceptance attached to the booking, the total charge including transfers, payment arrangements and airport deadlines. Check every connecting airline separately. A passenger ticket alone does not establish animal acceptance.
Entry checks
Check departure, transit and destination veterinary requirements separately with the relevant government authorities. Airline acceptance does not replace entry clearance. This guide supplies no country-specific exemption. For an itinerary continuing to the United States, verify the operating airline and current government requirements directly; do not treat an airline notice as a complete border checklist.
