Independent planning guidance; airline acceptance and government entry require separate checks.
1. Build the journey file
List every operating flight, species, breed, age, animal weight and external carrier measurements. Decide whether the animal travels with a passenger or needs a separate freight booking. Collect airline acceptance and government permissions separately. Ask for written confirmation before committing to a non-refundable itinerary.
2. Passenger-pet arrangements
Cabin: one animal per passenger/container; soft carrier 44 × 30 × 23 cm. Accompanied pets: two maximum per passenger, individually housed. Same-airport hold connections need three hours and separate check-in for each leg; flights exceeding two hours need aircraft review. Snub-nosed hold pets and listed restricted breeds require cargo. Fees vary by route, container and sales country; non-refundable/non-transferable.

The directory overview provides the basic booking lead time and cabin weight boundary. Ask separately about flight-wide quotas, remaining slots and passenger limits. A passenger allowance does not establish availability. Ask whether children travelling with you affect eligibility, and request the precise seating and airport presentation instructions.
3. Obtain an itinerary price
Open the official pet tables above and ask for a written total for your exact sales country, route, carrier size and every flight. Confirm taxes, payment currency, changes, cancellation and unused-service treatment before payment. Ask specifically about the applicable hold-size bracket and whether a larger crate requires freight.
4. Prepare the hold container
For checked-hold crates, the bilingual securing instruction requires rigid construction, a leak-proof base, side ventilation and a metal door. Bring your own fastening materials and nylon net. Secure the latch or door to the crate, cover it with the net and leave the handle usable. Flexible/folding crates, removable tops and plastic doors are rejected. The illustrations distinguish permitted flat-strap cable ties or stainless-steel ties from prohibited beaded, ladder-strap and other fastening types. Check the illustrated specification before buying supplies; the English reference to toothed locking mechanisms may be confusing alongside its permitted cable-tie examples.

Send the airline photographs and external measurements of your proposed crate, door and closures. Ask when to fit the net and ties, how the animal will be inspected and how you can safely open the crate after arrival. Agree this before travelling.
5. Arrange freight independently
Cargo accepts one pet per crate; other species need freight review. International reservations are accepted 3–14 days before departure; inspection/acceptance is due 2½ hours before departure. International arrivals must fall within working days/hours. Exports from Argentina require a licensed customs broker or cargo agency. Contact at.cliente.arcargo@aerolineas.com.ar internationally; at.cliente.jetpaq@aerolineas.com.ar domestically. Shipping charges exclude terminal, customs, veterinary and storage costs. Published temperature ranges: dogs 3–30°C, cats 7–24°C, snub-nosed animals 10–19°C across the journey. Restricted breeds need special crates; the page specifies wood from six months. Sick/injured animals, animals requiring in-flight medication and aggressive/escaping animals may be refused. Pregnancy, heat and nursing restrictions also apply. Obtain individual acceptance rather than treating these ranges as a guarantee.

The March 2026 freight tariff directs pet shipments to a special quote. Its ordinary cargo weight prices are not a pet quote.

Request the booking window, precise terminal handover time, collection appointment, crate acceptance and contingency arrangements. Include weather at origin, transfer points and destination. Ask for a current breed assessment; passenger-pet acceptance cannot be transferred to freight automatically.
6. Recognition and advance review
Send documents to producto@aerolineas.com.ar ten days ahead; later requests need review. The Spanish page lists national disability credentials, ADI-school credentials, IGDF-school credentials, or origin-country certification authenticated by its consulate. It names Bocalán Argentina, EPGA and Huellas de Esperanza for the national route. It requests the airline declaration and school/handler/dog identification; documents are verified with issuers. Medical-assistance cases require MEDIF; emotional-assistance wording requires psychiatrist-signed MEDIF plus training evidence. Bring three printed sets for personal check-in. The page requires an identifying vest/harness, leash or belt attachment, feet-level placement, hygiene and no emergency-exit seating. It says multiple service dogs require an extra seat. It does not establish a numerical maximum or owner-training pathway. Domestic health evidence includes a certificate issued within ten days and current rabies vaccination.

This is a report of the airline’s Spanish wording, not a universal legal standard. For U.S.-covered flights, use our U.S. service-dog guidance and DOT forms guidance. Ask the airline to resolve its credential, medical-document, notice and additional-seat wording against the rules for your exact route. Owner-trained handlers should request that route-specific process rather than infer rejection from a school-credential list. Emotional support alone should not be treated as disability-task training or an automatic entitlement to free service-dog carriage.
7. Declaration and onboard arrangements
The currently linked declaration is revision 4, April 2024. It requests passenger and itinerary details, the dog's name, breed/weight, school and credential number; its microchip field is marked non-mandatory. That field does not waive destination identification rules. The signer attests to training, credentials, control, care throughout the flight and remaining in the footspace without encroaching on others or the aisle. Harness/vest and leash are specified. The form describes no additional service-dog charge and permits refusal for unsuitable behavior or unverifiable credentials. Bring the completed printed form and original supporting documents for check-in verification.

Ask which forms apply to each segment, where to submit them and how acceptance is recorded. Confirm the permitted dog count, available floor space, handling of two dogs and any muzzle requirement. No affirmative muzzle rule was established in the reviewed assistance page or current declaration; this is not a promise that none can apply. Request written clarification of any U.S.-route conflict before purchase.
8. Reach the appropriate team
The virtual-assistant page lists pet and disability-assistance handling Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00. It gives Contact Center +54 (11) 5199 3555: weekdays 08:00–20:00; weekends/holidays 08:00–14:00. Confirm the time zone when planning contact.

Keep your booking reference and animal details ready. A message sent to an assistance channel is a request, not confirmation that an animal has been accepted. Allow time for questions and issuer verification.
9. Check government permission separately
Verify origin, transit and destination rules with the responsible government authorities, including identification, vaccination sequence, certificates, permits and arrival inspection. Airline health-document summaries do not establish entry eligibility. For U.S. dogs, follow the existing entry-pathway guidance. Do not use an older airline age statement as a substitute for current import rules.
10. Close unresolved questions
Keep a written record of each accepted animal, operating flight, container or floor-space arrangement, documents, deadlines, fees and handover details. Recheck after an itinerary change. The English locale URLs were unavailable during this review, so no language-version agreement is claimed. Resolve unclear translations and route-specific conditions directly with the airline.
