Build a journey around confirmed answers.

Independent review of official pages and blank forms on October 17, 2026. Selected limits are summarized below; follow the official links for the complete conditions.

Build the journey file

Collect the dates, airport sequence, flight numbers and operating airline for every sector. Add the animal’s species, breed, age, weight and measurements, together with the loaded carrier’s external dimensions. Ask for written acceptance tied to the actual booking before committing to an inflexible ticket.

A useful reply identifies who has accepted what, on which flight, and under which conditions. Keep the reply with your itinerary and ask for a new check if the aircraft, operator or connection changes. A passenger reservation alone does not answer the animal-space question.

Pets

Cabin: 8 kg total including carrier; 42×26×20 cm; one carrier per traveler. Familiar pets may share. Flightwide cabin cages: ATR72 two; B737 three. ATR requires soft bags. Call before booking. Hold: register ≥48 hours ahead or call ≥24 hours ahead; A320 unavailable. Clarify hold quotas and species mixing.

Prepare the booking questions

Separate three questions when contacting the airline: how many animals one traveler can bring, how many may share the proposed container, and what capacity remains on the flight. Describe the actual animals and proposed arrangement rather than asking only whether “pets are allowed”.

Before purchasing equipment, request the complete current carrier checklist, breed assessment, age conditions and airport reporting instructions. Ask how the animal will be handed over and collected, especially at a connection. Where an answer is missing or two instructions differ, obtain written clarification instead of choosing the easier interpretation.

Request an itemized quote for the entire journey, including currency, taxes, handling, onward sectors and change or cancellation conditions. Identify the transport format on the quote. Keep any separate freight booking and its collection arrangements distinct from the passenger itinerary.

Assistance dogs

Accepted assistance dogs travel free: one per passenger, with no additional pet. Notify the Call Center ≥48 hours ahead; supply breed, size, weight, disability-related task evidence and Form 4113; medical forms may be requested. TAROM names ADI, IGDF and EGDF training-document issuers. Owner-training and route-specific alternatives are unstated. TAROM’s page excludes emotional-support and psychiatric service dogs. Confirm the operator’s applicable route policy.

Keep the dog at your feet, within your space, off seats and aisles. Harness/vest required; leash/harness extension stays attached to your seatbelt. Secure it during taxi, takeoff, landing and turbulence. Carry a muzzle. Exit rows and immediately adjacent rows are unavailable. The dog must be healthy, clean and controlled. Distress prevents acceptance. Clarify conflicting breed-list scope. Flightwide assistance quota is unstated.

Organize the evidence

Describe the trained task and training history. Obtain route-specific written acceptance; a vest, registration or certificate alone does not guarantee admission. Keep emotional support distinct from disability-related task training, and check route law independently.

Use the linked airline documents to establish the current submission process. Ask whether additional forms, translations or originals are needed. Read every declaration before signing, and use the airline’s verified channel for any health information. Never assume that one approval covers another airline or a later journey.

Airline contact

The current contact page lists +40 21 9978 and +40 371 529 000, plus an online form and agency directories. Its displayed hours are 08:00–22:00 daily; the page does not specify a time zone. Check the official page for the current channels.

Government entry checks

Check departure, transit and destination requirements separately with the competent authorities. Airline acceptance does not replace veterinary or border clearance, and assistance status does not establish an import exemption. Build the document timetable around the actual route, travel history and dates. Our destination guides can help locate the next checks.
