China Airlines revises pet charges for tickets issued from October 16

China Airlines announced revised pet-transport charges on October 6, 2026, for tickets issued on or after October 16. This is a ticket-issuance condition, not simply a flight-departure date. Ask reservations which tariff applies to an existing or reissued ticket.

Read the pet table, not the excess-baggage table
The attachment’s pet table is on page 3 and uses USD. For Taiwan–Zone 3, it lists USD 600 in the 32 kg-or-less band and USD 960 above 32 kg. Zone 3 includes named gateways such as Los Angeles, New York and London; it is not every city in those countries.
These are selected tariff cells, not a complete journey quotation. The table does not state a per-sector or one-way charging unit. Have China Airlines confirm how connections and the full reservation are charged.

Confirm the loaded carrier and actual service
The current pet page counts the animal and container together for charges. It still describes a double-rate rule above 32 kg, whereas the future-ticket attachment gives separate amounts. Do not combine the two presentations without having reservations confirm the applicable tariff and weight basis.
A destination appearing in the price zones does not establish pet acceptance. The airline publishes separate route, aircraft and transfer restrictions. Confirm the operating itinerary, space and entry requirements before booking.
