Iberia adds online booking for pets traveling in the cabin
Iberia’s March 11 update lets travelers request eligible cabin-pet places during online booking, with availability shown in the purchase flow.

Pet availability becomes part of online booking
Iberia announced on March 11, 2026 that customers can add a pet traveling in the cabin through its website during ticket purchase. The booking flow shows whether a pet place is available.
The announcement covers eligible flights operated by Iberia, Iberia Express and Air Nostrum. Online requests must be made at least 48 hours before departure; route and service restrictions still apply.
Booking access does not change the cabin limits
The announcement retains a combined pet-and-carrier limit of 8 kg and maximum carrier dimensions of 45 × 35 × 25 cm. Required documentation is still checked at the airport.
Use Iberia’s current pet policy to check the actual route, animal and container. An online purchase option does not establish eligibility for every destination or a flight operated by another airline.

Check pet availability while comparing routes, then keep the pet confirmation with the passenger booking. For an itinerary with a connection, identify the operating carrier for every flight segment.
