Flying with a pet
on Trinity Airways.
Trinity Airways is the current name for T’way Air. Start with your exact airport pair and the current pet request, then check carrier fit and the entry timeline.

An independent commercial planning guide from Pets Delivery Expert. We are not the airline’s customer service desk. Airline acceptance, government entry permission and space for the exact flight each require confirmation. Genuine assistance dogs follow a separate process.
1. Recognise Trinity, T’way and the same TW code
T’way Air announced the transition on September 9, 2026, with operation as Trinity Airways from September 10, 2026. The airline code TW and flight numbers were retained. The official passenger notice says t’pet became TRINITY PET, with the existing service benefits and terms retained.
This is a brand update, not evidence of new pet routes or relaxed limits. An older ticket can still display T’way. Keep the ticket, pet-request confirmation and any later flight changes together, so the name difference does not distract from whether the actual travel details match.

2. International ordinary pets use a limited cabin service
The international programme covers dogs and cats aged at least eight weeks, up to 9 kg with the carrier, on selected routes. It excludes checked-hold carriage, Business Zone seating, codeshares and connecting/multi-sector itineraries.
Start with the operating flight and exact origin and destination. Ask for an answer about the whole proposed journey, including any separate ticket or overnight connection. Dividing a journey into reservations should never be assumed to remove an itinerary restriction. A passenger seat offered for sale is not evidence that the corresponding animal request can be accepted.
No separate Trinity manifest-cargo pet product was verified in this review. If cabin carriage does not work, obtain a new transport assessment rather than arriving with a larger crate and expecting an automatic hold or cargo conversion.

3. Check the airport exclusions before comparing fares
The current pet-route FAQ excludes Sydney and Vancouver, and the European destinations Rome, Paris, Frankfurt, Barcelona and Zagreb. It also excludes Cheongju, Kumamoto, Saga, Sanya, Hong Kong, Taichung, Macau, Ulaanbaatar, Bishkek, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Jakarta, Bali, Vientiane and Chiang Mai, plus Osaka–Guam. Connecting and multi-sector journeys are excluded.
The list is a screening tool, not a promise of space or a current flight timetable. Ask the airline about both directions and your intended dates. For Japan, distinguish the airport you actually need from a different airport that appears in a fare search. If your final destination is excluded, begin a fresh route comparison rather than assuming a connection will solve it.

4. Apply before the departure date, then watch changes
Apply through the reservation centre or eligible online page at least two days before the departure date; international online applications use the Korea/Korean-language page. Airport applications are unavailable. An itinerary change automatically cancels the pet request: apply again for the revised journey.
Treat this as a date-based published cutoff; do not silently convert it into a rolling 48-hour guarantee. Start earlier and ask the airline to confirm the last acceptable application time for your flight. If you cannot use the Korean booking page, ask the reservation centre for the supported route to submit the request.
After a change, compare the old and new flight numbers, dates and airports and seek a fresh confirmation before assuming the pet is covered. Keep the response accessible offline. A valid passenger ticket and a pending pet request are different planning states.

5. Measure the complete carrier and check shared-carrier eligibility
Hard carriers: maximum 37 cm width and 23 cm height. Soft carriers: under-seat-compatible width and maximum 26 cm height. Both have a maximum 115 cm three-side total and need comfortable movement space.
The general allocation is one pet per adult, six per international flight. Narrow shared-carrier exceptions cover one mother with one offspring aged eight weeks to under six months, or two same-mother puppies or kittens under six months. Ask how the exception affects your adult allocation and flight capacity.
Measure the outside of the actual bag, including projecting handles or rigid sections. Take photographs that show the pet’s posture inside, and identify the exact carrier model in your request. If two animals might qualify to share, provide both ages and their relationship. Do not buy a shared container until the airline has assessed the proposed pairing and fit.
For a brachycephalic dog, seek explicit breed and fit acceptance. This guide establishes no breed exemption. Pets Delivery Expert’s brachycephalic service is cabin-only through individual commercial-flight or private-flight arrangements, with each operator’s rules still applying.

6. Keep Korean domestic travel in its own plan
Domestic TRINITY PET also includes birds, with different application deadlines. Do not transfer those rules to international travel.
If a Korean domestic sector is part of a larger move, ask the airline to review the whole itinerary before making separate purchases. Map where you would collect the animal, whether you would enter the country, and who would verify the next sector. Our connections guide can help organise those questions, but does not establish that Trinity accepts your connection.

7. Get a quote with a clear charging unit
The official Korean page contains domestic and international tariffs. We have not established a sufficiently clear combination of route, payment currency and charging unit to publish a numeric price here. Obtain the amount for the exact pet arrangement and ask whether the quoted charge is per animal, carrier, flight or direction.
For comparison, keep the passenger fare, pet transport charge and independent planning or handling fees on separate lines. Ask what happens to each payment after a date change or pet refusal. Where two animals might share a carrier, have the charging unit confirmed explicitly. Include document preparation, veterinary work, local transfers and arrival services in the total budget.

8. Check entry documents before the final ticket choice
The airline’s document request and the destination’s admission process must both be satisfied. For a Japan journey, use our Japan entry guide to begin the document timeline. For another destination, start with the relevant national authority and the pet’s actual origin and travel history.
Have the applicable export and import procedures, required appointments and document-validity windows checked against the planned dates. Keep an accessible document set and leave time for staff to review the animal and carrier. This guide does not reproduce the complete Korean or destination-country rules, and an airline confirmation does not replace the entry assessment.

9. Use the separate assistance-dog process where eligible
Trinity’s assistance page describes free carriage for qualifying assistance dogs and asks passengers to contact the reservation centre 48 hours ahead. It separately addresses trained dogs on U.S. flights and links the DOT relief attestation for flight segments of eight hours or more.
For U.S.-covered travel, the advance-notice wording is not an absolute refusal cutoff. Under 14 CFR 382.75, a booking made less than 48 hours before the first originally scheduled departure can use required forms at the departure gate. If notice is missed, the carrier must make reasonable efforts to accommodate without delaying the flight. Confirm the applicable route-specific process and government documents.
Ordinary pets and genuine disability-assistance dogs have different eligibility. Do not seek an assistance label as a way around an ordinary-pet route, size or breed restriction.

Official sources checked October 12, 2026. Operational pet rules and the route FAQ were read directly on the current Korean mobile pages and translated for this guide; the brand transition also has an official English notice. No complete English-language equivalence for the operational policy was established. Numeric pet fees are withheld because this review did not settle the exact route, currency and charging-unit application. The date of the rebrand is separate from any pet-policy revision. No live inventory, individual breed acceptance, cargo product or government approval was obtained.
