Independent planning guidance, not a booking confirmation or complete government-entry checklist.
1. Check eligibility and capacity
Ordinary pets travel in cabin only; UK and Iceland routes are excluded. Dogs, cats, non-raptor birds and turtles/tortoises qualify; GetJet/AirHub accept only dogs and cats.
The non-rigid carrier must measure at most 45 × 39 × 21 cm and weigh at most 10 kg loaded. Vueling publishes one pet per person, five per flight, and two on Iberia-operated flights. Up to two dogs or cats may share under its same-species/litter exception within those limits. Ask how sharing counts against passenger and flight quotas; do not assume five carriers or permission to mix species.

2. Reserve and prepare for boarding
Add pets during purchase using Fly Light. Online addition covers all booking legs; for one leg only, contact Customer Services or book separately. Existing bookings need Customer Services. Obtain pet-space confirmation before relying on the ticket.
Use airport check-in for seat allocation and boarding passes. Front-row and emergency-exit seats are excluded. Keep the carrier closed under the seat until disembarking.

3. Arrange assistance-dog approval
Trained assistance dogs follow a separate process. Request during booking or notify Customer Services at least 48 hours ahead, and arrange document validation. Vueling normally limits these dogs to two on board; exceptional increases require advance assessment.
An official physical assistance/guide-dog certificate and accredited training evidence are required; a doctor’s note is insufficient. UK journeys require additional documentation. Obtain route-specific approval rather than applying the ordinary-pet exclusion to assistance dogs. Keep the dog controlled, on the floor and clear of evacuation routes.

4. Resolve the remaining questions
No current pet-fee amount or pet-specific cancellation/refund rule was verified in the accessible official pages. Ask for the total for each flight, currency, charges for shared carriers, and written change/refund conditions before paying.
A universal ordinary-pet booking cutoff, breed-specific rule and separate animal-only weight limit were not established. Ask about your pet and flight. Check government entry requirements independently; airline acceptance is not entry permission.
